Pentecostal Doctrine - Wake-Up Key-Facts

  • The twelve Apostles spoke with other tongues at Pentecost - Not 120 believers
  • 3000 gladly received His Word and were baptised. They did not speak in tongues.
  • God worked with the Apostles manifesting the signs (tongues) to confirm the Word MK 16:20"...confirming the word with signs following. Amen".  - not to confirm believers as Pentecostals teach. This is confirmed in 1Co 14:22  Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe - not for (confimration of) believers. Tongues are for a sign in Greek can also be translated as "The purpose of Tongues is to be a sign to unbelievers". Let us no more be children in understanding.
  • God only manifested the tongue sign in the presence of the Apostles in the entire book of Acts (The Acts of the APOSTLES is the title of the book). Not even Philip the proto-deacon, who is used to work mighty miracles does anything but to preach and baptise.
  • The tongue sign did not on any occasion manifested at the conversion of an individual believer, only to groups who needed Apostolic AND Direct confirmation from GOD that their paricular group had also been accepted into God's kingdom. God's covenant had previously only been available to the lost sheep of the house of Israel and other racial or ethnic groops needed supernatural confirmation. We received the Holy Ghost by Faith and repentace.
  • We have ALL been baptised by the Holy Ghost:1Co 12:13  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit - is written right in the context of "Do all speak in tongues?". This is where most Pentecostlas leave the ways of un-partiality and claim that the few scriptures about tongues are now even talking about two completely different kinds of tongues. This is their only option to give the false doctrine a chance of survival, as otherwise to the un-biased believer the doctrine of "The Evidence of having recieved the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is speaking in Tongues" ends right here.
